Where do I start? - Ideas for Planning your Wedding Entertainment

I have so many questions about planning my wedding... where do I start?

We recommend that you contact as many entertainment vendors as possible.  Ask them every question on your list.  Use these questions to add to or even create your own personal interview list.  Please add any questions that you feel are important!

What is the name of your company?

Where is your office located?

Who will be the contact person for my event, and what is their contact number?

How many years of professional experience do you have?

What percentage of your business is dedicated to my type of event?

How many staff members are working with your company?

Do the staff members assigned to my event have references? Can I contact them?

What happens if my DJ is sick the day of my event?

Do you have backup equipment available if your equipment has problems at my event?

Do you have a corporate policy regarding your staff drinking alcoholic beverages at my event?

Do you specialize in any specific types of music?

Is your music library licensed or illegally acquired?

Do you specialize in any specific types of events?

What type of sound system will you provide at my event?

Are you able to act as a master of ceremonies if I require an "M.C."?

How will your staff be dressed at my event?

Do you provide a light show? Do you have pictures I could see to help me decide on a lighting package?

Do you provide a cordless microphone?

Do you take breaks?  If so, how many and how long are they?

What is your base fee for an event, and what does that include?

Do you want your wedding to be unique, customized to your personality, your special message delivered flawlessly on your wedding day?  Allow us to set the scene for you.  It is time for the first dance as husband and wife at the wedding reception.  You walk to the centre of the dance floor and the music begins to play.  Suddenly, something very unique happens...

Everyone hears the voice of the groom with a message to his bride as they begin to dance.  Later in the song the bride's voice comes in and her personal message takes the spotlight.  This popular addition can be orchestrated with many variations.

Here is the message left by Dean (The Groom from the audio clip) on the Monday morning following his wedding.

You may prefer this to be a surprise with one person knowing nothing about it.  This could be done by contacting our office and making the arrangements to record your personal message.  Although this takes some planning and organization, the results are worth the effort.

Sometimes, both the bride and groom want to take part in this personal touch. Both come in and record their message - but each message is recorded in private.  They both know a message is coming, but neither person has heard it before.  With excited anticipation the messages are unveiled during the first dance.

We are here to help you with your audio visual needs for your wedding.  We have a massive selection of equipment available for your every need.  To keep our basic information package short, we have listed our most popular items with pricing for your reference.  If you require anything above what you see listed here, please contact our office and we make sure you are taken care of.  All prices are for daily rentals and 5% GST will be added to all prices.   Weekly rental rates are available by contacting our office.  All rentals are subject to equipment availability.  A valid credit card or cash deposit (of the replacement value of the equipment) is required to rent any equipment.

Professional Wedding Emcee Training Course

Whether you are a "first time" or a "seasoned veteran" emcee, public speaking can be a scary proposition. Here at Sounds Unlimited Inc. we have valuable experience organizing programs and creating weddings that run smoothly.

With our "MC" training program, the goal is to teach these skills, passing on that experience to your wedding Emcee. We will provide your Emcee with the training to perform like a seasoned professional at your reception.

Topics covered in this program include: how to organize a program, how to introduce speakers and toasters and how to deal with the unexpected surprises. Your Emcee will practice speaking "live" in our training facility on a full sound system. After taking our course, the stress of being an Emcee turns into excitement!
